Parker 51 Flighter Fountain Pen - Sold 3/17
This one came out really nice looking, but is not quite historically correct. The body is stamped with a first quarter 1950 date code making it a first year production pen. The Mark II filler unit is correct for this pen, but the cap is from the second generation post 1957. The body and cap have been re-frosted and look fantastic. The pen body has a very faint engraving of Walter F Wood which we did not discover until after the body had been re-frosted. A new pli-glass sac was installed and the stainless steel breather tube is in perfect condition. The nib has been tuned and smooth and writes wonderfully giving a 0.5 mm line width. These don't come around often and when they do, they don't last long.
