India Ink Challenge

When buying a used pen you never know what you might find. In this case a rare 1964 Montblanc 149 was purchased in non-working condition. After many sessions through the utrasonic cleaner we could not get any flow through the feed an nib. Once we pulled the piston unit as well as the feed and nib, we still had a blockage in the form of dried India ink.

We wanted to see what was the best way to break down this old dried India ink, so we put the three things we use the most for cleaning ink to the challenge. Water, Indy's Ideal Pen Flush, and Rapido-eze were put to the test. See for yourself the results.
