The Edison Nib Units
These steel nib units will fit both the Beaumont, Collier and the Comet. Each unit is complete with nib, feed, and feed housing. Switching nibs is as simple as removing the cartridge or converter, unscrew the nib unit from the gripping section, then screw in the new unit. For more detailed instructions see: Changing Screw-In Nib Units. We still have a few two tone and when they are gone we are swtched to all gold. We also have a handful of the #5 nibs that fit the Pearlette.
Available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broard.
When you order a custom-ground nib, we reserve the right to change the nib from the tip size you’ve ordered to one that will better accommodate the requested grind.
Please note that the flex nibs are serious flex nibs. If you are used to a Pilot/Namiki Falcon or Noodler's flex nib, the amount of pressure those nibs require will damage our flex nibs, possibly to the point of destruction. Damage due to overflexing is not covered by our warranty.
*Custom grinds are not an option on Full Flex Fine nibs* Please allow an extra ten business days for flex nibs to be made.
*Flex nibs are not an option for #5 nib units* Flex nibs are made from unbranded 14K JoWo #6 nibs with the keyhole design.
Because we want you to have the best experience possible when you purchase a fountain pen from us, we tune each nib at no extra charge unless otherwise requested. We fill your pen with Waterman Mysterious Blue ink. Then, testing on paper of better than average quality, we tune, adjust, and smooth the nib to bring it up to the standard that you should come to expect when buying a fountain pen or nib from Indy-Pen-Dance.
